It should come as no surprise that banks are enormously powerful, but I do not think people realize just how powerful, Banks control credit and American businesses, actually all businesses in the World, run on credit. That guy (or woman) running your local bank is very powerful, and the folks who are his/her bosses are even more powerful and so on, up the ladder.
The ultimate in American banking are the members of the Federal Reserve. Always remember, the Fed is not a Constitutional entity, nor is it a Government run entity. It really should not exist, but there it is and it runs our economy, doing so by controlling the creation of currency. That should, by our Constitution, be the job of the Treasury Dept. Andrew Jackson bitterly opposed the creation of a central bank, Lincoln was not too thrilled about it, and, finally, Woodrow Wilson caved in and they have been running things ever since. By controlling the creation of currency, they control interest rates and thus control the entire economy of the Nation.
The creation of great centralized banks has been unfolding for centuries, from the banking system established by the Knights Templar, to the establishment of the Bank of England, and the creation of the great, old European banks, such as the House of Rothschild. All of the great banks of America, from the Morgans to the Rockefellers (Chase Bank) and others, have been heavily tied to the banks of London and the other old banking houses of Europe. So have banks in China, such as those run by the Li family.
I am not going to go through all of the great, powerful bank because they change names and owners frequently. Just understand that they all tie back to the big powerful banks, sharing Board members and stock holders. In reality, they are one bank. They are not competing, they are simply appearing to compete. It's a shell game, no better than a low level street con. They control how the World's economy works and they control entities such as the International Monetary Fund, which has done an amazing job of keeping 3rd World Countries (I hate that term, but most people know what it means so I'll go with it) in abject poverty, with little help of escape.
These are the folks who launder drug money and illegal arms sales Look up the BCCI scandal and realize that the big players have their grubby little fingers in some very nasty pies. Their manipulations caused our last great recession, the Great Depression of the 1930s, and a plethora of wars. All of this information is available on line (again, I highly recommend the excellent blog, VYSOP. Its creator, known as Recluse has really done some amazing research), so I am not going to duplicate efforts by writing it all again. That is not my purpose.
My purpose in writing this series is not to give historical detail, but to show the interconnection of the various forces that are shaping our World. You must know who you are up against if you hope to beat them and the big banks are major players. It almost seems like they are the greatest of the groups but, not quite. In my next post, I will tell of a group once called The Fabian Socialists, and of the monopolistic corporations. From there, I will move to the main camps in American politics (not the Republicans and Democrats. The 2 party system is a total scam), then, I'll make an attempt to pull this mess together and make a few surprisingly optimistic predictions.

America and the Powers That Be, Royalty
We in America seldom, for obvious reasons, give much thought to the World's royal families, unless one of Britain's Royals is misbehaving, marrying, or giving birth. The whole royalty shtick seems to us a silly leftover from days gone by.
But, much of the rest of the World still has royal families and they do have power, to varying degrees. In many Middle Eastern countries, the royals still wield incredible power and control ridiculous sums of money. In countries such as Thailand, the royal family is vastly wealthy and fairly powerful. However, I wish to speak of Europe's royalty.
We tend to think that in Europe, the Royal Houses are quaint and charming, but not really in control of much. That is not exactly true. Yes, much of the governing power in the hand of various ruling bodies, but it is important to realize that the Royal families are incredibly wealth, controlling many billions of dollars and substantial amounts of property.
Royal families are still recognized in Lichtenstein, Luxemburg, Spain, Monaco, England, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and, in an odd way, the Vatican. Now, their powers as rulers are limited, to varying degrees, but, trust me. Any groups controlling vast sums of money, have vast amounts of power.
Also, in countries such as Italy and Russia and Germany, where royal families have no say in government, they do still have money and land.
Why is all this important? Well, it seems that throughout modern history, the various royal families have tried and are still trying to run the World. They work behind the scenes, through banks and intelligence groups and, surprisingly often, through organized crime. Look into topics like the Sovereign Knights of Malta and Le Circle (again I highly recommend you check out VYSOP for some well researched history). Very often these families have been in league with the Vatican, the Mafia, various occult groups and, out and out fascists.
Their goal, synarchy, the re-establishment of the aristocracy as rulers. Only they intend to do so in the context of a unified Europe, united but under local control by the different royal houses. From there, they seem to believe that they will branch out and convince the rest of the World that, since they are rich and royal, God must want them as rulers and thus unite the World under their thumb.
Insane? Of course, but being rich and powerful does not necessarily insure sanity.
Remember, these Houses are working with the Church, organized crime, fascists, banks and certain industrialists, for now. These groups have different goals but see the wisdom of pulling together at times. Next post, the banks.

America and the Powers That Be, Fascism
First, a definition. Fascism is a system of government in which the State and Corporations cooperate to run the Country. Mussolini said that a better name would be Corporatism. If this sounds like what is happening now in America, congratulations, you are very perceptive.
I suppose you could have a benevolent fascism, with the Leaders running the economy, seeing to the welfare of citizens and, other than that, leaving people to run their own lives. But, people being people, that just does not happen. Those in power want more power, partly out of fear of losing control and partly because they just love wielding power. These people are mentally ill.
Before WW2, America, leaders and citizens alike, were rather fond of Fascism. Hitler was admired and groups like the Silver Shirts had substantial memberships. Much of Europe was taken with that form of government. Oddly, people like to be controlled. I guess they have trouble dealing with the fact that the Universe is chaotic and life uncertain. Anyway, Adolph overstepped his bounds and WW2 broke out.
Now, Germany lost but, what we all failed to grasp is that Fascism did not lose and maintained many followers after the war, too many groups to go into here. The all were fanatically anti-Communist and, with some prodding and support from American and British intelligence. Operation Gladio was formed. The groups involved were supposed to be ready to repel any Soviet action but, they went much farther,
Anytime a left wing group, even mildly left wing, started gaining popular support, the fascists infiltrated the group, committed some act of depraved violence and then blamed the left wing group, costing them power. America did the same thing domestically; just look up COINTELPRO and Operation Chaos.
These groups funded themselves by drug smuggling and arms sales and, thus, interacted with the Mafia. Again, Americans need not feel smug. Just look up Project Mongoose and Operation Midnight Climax.
All of the money had to be laundered and the Vatican Bank was used. This was set up by the fascist led, quasi Masonic Lodge, P2, Propaganda Due, which had a number of priests who were members, despite the Vatican ban on their joining secret societies.
Currently, with their immigration crisis still unfolding, fascist groups in Europe are gaining a disturbing amount of power. Do not rest easy, America. We still have the Klan, the American Nazi Party and countless other groups of lunatics hanging around. I am full expecting one, or all of them, to rear their ugly little heads before long.

America and the Powers That Be, the Vatican
Before I start this, let me clearly say that I am not some backwoods fundamentalist railing against Catholicism. This post deals with the power structure of the Vatican itself.
For centuries now, the Vatican has longed for a return to the days of the Holy Roman Empire. Some want this because they want to see Christianity united and, eventually, leading the world. Some want the power and the wealth. Some, I suppose, want both.
Of course, as historians love to point out, it was neither Holy, Roman, or an Empire, but it amassed an incredible amount of wealth and wielded entirely too much power. As it fell apart, many in the Church were loathe to admit that such a thing could happen and began to jealously guard what power they had left, all the while holding fiercely to all that wealth. This led them to fall in with some very unpleasant people and groups.
The church, circa WW2, was fairly complacent in the face of fascism, making deals with Mussolini, and Hitler, uttering only feeble protests against the Holocaust, and, after the fighting, running rat lines that helped many notoriously evil Nazis escape justice. And, yes, this did increase the Vatican wealth.
People being people, some Church officials got their hands into the Vatican bank and caused all sorts of mischief. Ultimately they were dealing with the Mafia in various guns and drug schemes and with the remnants, rather sizable and powerful remnants, of Europe's fascist community, through the quasi Masonic Lodge, P2. Much money was stolen and much havoc reached. We will talk a bit more about this in the next post.

It is a shame that Dan Brown in The DaVinci Code painted them as a sort of cartoonish group, sort of like James Bond's enemies SMERSH. They are not cartoonish. Instead they are a repressive an deadly cult within the church wielding great power. They were doted on by Popes, John Paul II and Benedict. They profess to be the saviors of the traditional Church but, the more you find out about them, which is difficult to do (I strongly recommend a website called VYSUP for some very well researched info), the more it seems that their conservatism is more toward the wealth and power than any doctrinal issues.
Next post we will get into the weird world of fascism but first, let me mention another group within the Church that has deep ties to the fascist network, The Sovereign Knights of Malta. With roots going back to the Crusades and the Knights Hospitiller, they have a curiously large number of members who have held high, extremely high, positions in American politics, the American Military, and, frighteningly enough, the American Intelligence organizations. Odder still is the deep ties these individuals had to groups often linked to the JFK assassination (however, I am not about to start on that topic). Linked to the SKOM is any even stranger group, the Sovereign Knights of St. John of Jerusalem or the Shikshinny Knights, the difference being that the latter claim succession through the
Russian Church, I point this out so you can see how interlinked so many of these groups are, Nothing on Earth happens in isolation and the PTB are a massively confusing group with fingers in every pie imaginable. Next post I will try to untie a few more of the knots.

America and the Powers That Be, Introduction
There is a phrase tossed around on the internet, the Powers That Be. I have used it as well and it occurred to me that maybe I should write a bit of explanation. Over the nest few posts I will write a bit about this. Henceforth, I will call them the PTB.
From the beginning of time, there have been those who sought to dominate the Earth. Many tried; , the Egyptian Pharaohs, Sargon the Akkadian, Alexander the great, Cyrus the great of Persia, Julius Caesar, Charlemagne and the Holy Roman Empire,, the British, the German Third Reich, the Soviets, and the Americans (remember George W, Bush and the talk of pax Americana).
Well, empires come and empires go, but the urge to control seems indestructible, at least in some folks. As the band Tears for Fears said, in a great song, Everybody Wants to Rule the World. Not everybody, but too damn many,
There is a group of loosely associated interests who are attempting to create a One World Government, These are the ones referred to as the PTB. Some are well known, some are shadowy figures, whose names are seldom ever heard but whose influence is unthinkably powerful.
These groups and individuals come from many different backgrounds. Sometimes, they pull together, when they have common interests, sometimes they connive behind each other's backs. They are dangerous and patient and relentless and, over the next few postings I will discuss some of these power hungry lunatics.

America and Education
We spend more and more each year on Education and get less and less results. Americans graduating from college, when tested, are often unable to find their own state on a map. display a woeful lack of knowledge of history, and can scarcely make change without the aid of a calculator. A basic lack of understanding of the basic concepts of science is common. Many can scarcely read, lack any background in the basic ideas of Western culture, little understanding of art and literature, and, as you might have noticed on the internet, cannot write simple English sentences.
My parents and their siblings were high school graduates, that's all. Yet, they all could read well, write proper sentences and do basic math with nothing but a pencil and paper. They knew the basics of World and American history, had at least been exposed to classic American and English literature, knew geography, and had a sufficient understanding of science. They were also all required to take at least 2 years of some foreign language, which certainly came in handy when Cuban refugees started showing up in South Florida. ( all of them could at least make themselves understood on Spanish).
I worked for a while in a private high school kitchen. We catered many luncheons for different organizations, parents, donors, etc. and would deliver to various spots on campus. As a result, I saw how the kids were taught. To my shock, a good deal of the instruction in history and the sciences consisted of kids sitting at a computer reading Wikipedia pages, Much of their time was spent preparing for Standardized testing required by the government. This is not learning; this is just preparing to regurgitate answers.
Study after study show that Americans now are far behind in Math and Science. Even in Colleges, more and more, the old required Liberal Arts studies, those required courses we had to take as Freshmen and Sophomores, has been dropped. I guess we just want to turn out robots, prepared to fill a gap in some corporation. Job training, while important, is not education.

America and its Southern Neighbors
I have always been taken aback by our lack of interest in our neighbors to the South, Mexico, Central and South America. Well, we have paid them some attention, but, quite often, it was not of a positive nature.
America has tended to treat much of that region as if it were our territory, to do with as we please. We have been all too happy to enjoy the fruits of their fine farmlands and the great oil and mineral wealth they have, but treat them like peasants, near slaves, there to do our bidding. As a result, the people who live there, who do the work, are poor, dirt poor. The authorities, the land grabbers, the strongmen who do business with us are wealthy and we tend to want to keep things that way. We have treated our neighbors badly.
We have dealt with any popular uprisings, whether they be peaceful and electoral or armed revolt, with little concern for the welfare of the oppressed. We have seen to regime change in Argentina, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Guatemala and others. We have supported brutal dictators like Peron and Pinochet, men who stole the wealth of their Nations and sent death squads to destroy any opposition. Our sanctions on Cuba and Venezuela because we disliked their leaders, has caused incredible hardship to the average people and I cannot see where we have benefitted. It is as if we just cannot stand not to be in control, a childish, stupid attitude.
What bring this to mind is the approaching Olympics in Brazil. The Governor of the state Rio is in has said that they are broke and it is uncertain if they can provide security. There is horrific poverty in Rio. Yet, we will sit by our TVs, soaking up the pageantry and spectacle, as if everything was just fine.
It is no wonder that Brazil seems to be making friends with Russia and China. It is no wonder that Mexico seems to have little interest in stopping the drug flow into the US. I am actually amazed that any of these Nations still want to have anything to do with us.
